She sees a dress that looks like one of her favorite characters, Sofia the First, and I see a surprisingly soft and movable dress she can actually play and even sleep in, while she imagines!
Look, motherhood is a lonely, exhausting struggle for many of us – but don’t you just love the little recharge we get when their huge toothy smile shows up? I know her giggled joy has the magic to turn a frustrating day into hilarious fun, almost in an instant for me.
I live for a giggle.
She loves a great twirl.
I bought a Little Adventures costume because of their claim to be quality, soft, and durable, but at a reasonable price. Their big claim is that there’s nothing itchy or that would pull, or be annoying to a child on Little Adventure costumes, that they can sleep in them if they’d like. Let me be the judge of that!
It delivered it’s promise.
I was a little surprised to see that it still had a tag on the neck, given that supposedly there was nothing itchy. However, it’s a very soft tag, my toddler doesn’t notice it, which was a surprise. The waist is double bound on the inside, so there’s no elastic on their bellies, just smooth fabric, yet there is a lot of growing room (I mean, a lot). Even the purple glitter trim around the bottom is actually a velvet ribbon, and the glitter isn’t coming off it any time soon from what I can tell. She has slept in it, and I’ve washed it twice (once it was covered in river mud from this photo shoot), and it looks the same as when we got it in the mail. I had to test thing thing out, ok?!
I actually loved it so much, that I asked if I could “buy” one and get a code or something, so I could giveaway one to my readers. Except, they replied that they would love to just give one of my readers a code for a free costume (they have knights, superheros, fairies, etc too, and there’s a large range of sizes!) How nice of them, right?! PLUS, they ship anywhere in the US (yes, AK & HI too!) for FREE! If the winner is outside the US, they’ll have to pay a little in shipping, just so that’s out there.
So, you should totally enter this giveaway, and show Little Adventures some love as well. And listen to this: they were even MORE generous, and gave me a code to give my readers, so they can get 15% off of anything, if anyone chooses to order other costumes while they wait to win this one. 😉 Just add GS15% as you’re checking out! And hey, even if you don’t win the costume, I’m getting nine of you a free coffee, because I love and your support so much. Yay!
September is a busy month – my little’s birthday, my birthday, GrowingSpangs anniversary…if we need an occasion to have a giveaway to celebrate, September looks like a great month to do it! I figured that with Halloween coming up, it was the perfect time!
I always look forward to doing mamahood with you, talking about the bad and high five-ing the good. GrowingSpangs was created to be a little weekly fuel in our family grind tanks, and I love how far we’ve come together in the last year. Thank you for spending a little of your time over in this corner of the internet once a week, and I really love reading your comments!
